Meet the Team
Claire is one of our 1-2-1 key workers and enjoys playing games with the children inside and outside.
Claire loves reading stories with the boys and girls and helping them build with the block and train tracks.
Claire is childcare level 3 qualified, and in her spare time loves running with the local running club.
Elaine joined Sunflowers in 2010 as Nursery Nurse.
Elaine loves making the children laugh, having fun and watching them enjoy their time at Pre-School.
In Elaine’s spare time, she loves exercising! This includes going to the gym, swimming, various classes and dancing.
Julie joined Sunflowers in 2006 as a Nursery Assistant.
Julie loves singing with the children and doing craft activities. Julie also enjoys reading stories with the children.
In Julie’s spare time, she enjoys walking her dog, Oscar. Julie also enjoys going to the gym and going on holidays.
Senior Nursery Nurse
Kyra joined Sunflowers in 2015 as a student and is now childvcare level 3 qualified.
Kyra loves doing craft activities with the children, getting to know them and their personalities.
In Kyra’s spare time, she enjoys keeping fit, socialising with friends and getting her nails done.
Sarah joined Sunflowers in 2015 as a Nursery Assistant, and now holds her Level 3 Childcare qualification.
Sarah loves spending time with the children, helping them and watching them develop.
In Sarah’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and going camping.
Tracey joined Sunflowers in 2009 as a Nursery Nurse.
Tracey loves the interaction we have with all the children, families and staff.
In her spare time, Tracey loves reading, walking her dog (when the sun is shining!) and spending time with her family.
Sharon joined Sunflowers in 2014 as a Nursery Nurse.
Sharon loves reading and singing with the children.
In her spare time, Sharon enjoys spending time with her family and twin boys and also going for walks.
Alice joined Sunflowers in 2015 and Nursery Assistant and is now Level 3 qualified in Childcare.
Alice loves craft activities, watching the children develop and playing with the children.
In her spare time, Alice enjoys exercising, spend time with family and going clothes shopping! Alice will be going on Maternity leave in Summer.
We are also lucky enough to have a dedicated group of childcare professionals who work with us when we need extra staff.
Linda Kent- who previously worked here at Sunflower's.
Katie Elworthy - Who comes back to help us when she isnt studying for her degree in the childcare field.
Belinda Fenning- has a wealth of childcare experience and is first aid and safeguarding trained
Louise Eadie- works with children on a daily basis and helps out whenever she can
Charlotte looks after and supports the team to ensure we deliver 10/10 childcare.
Charlotte is heavily involved in our new building plans, and her main focus to develop our childcare team to help them deliver an exciting and education experience for the children.
Charlotte loves storytime with the boys and girls.
Dawn joined Sunflowers in 2015 as Senior Nursery Nurse.
Dawn loves seeing the children grow and get ready for school and also enjoys getting messy and reading stories.
In her spare time, Dawn likes spending time with her sons so they do lots of things like soft play, farms, parks and the seaside.
Lainey joined Sunflowers in 2016 as and Administrative assistant and is now our Administrator.
Lainey loves the fun environment and the people in it! She says its such a friendly place to work!
Lainey also enjoys visiting the boys and girls in preschool, joining in with the fun and games. In her spare time, she likes to play with her daughters and walk her 2 dogs.
Tammy is our setting cook, and cooks freshly prepared food for the children on a daily basis.
Tammy has a wealth of catering experience and is developing seasonal menus for the coming year.
